amniotic tissue grafts

CYGNUS® amniotic membrane grafts can be applied as a biological membrane covering that provides an extracellular matrix scaffold, while supporting the patient’s ability to repair underlying damaged tissue, such as acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers and venous ulcers. CYGNUS may be used in numerous clinical applications, including wound care, burn care, dermatology, and oral surgery.
Supports healing process
Provide protection from surrounding environment with a natural extracellular matrix scaffold and endogenous growth factors
Key extracellular matrix components
Provides key extracellular matrix components.
Retains up to 600+ signaling
proteins, including growth factors
and cytokines1
Large selection of configurations, sizes and shapes
Available in 5 tissue configurations
to allow for a variety of applications

CYGNUS® is manufactured using VIVEX’s Integrity Processing™ methodology, which helps to maintain the inherent levels of key extracellular matrices, including carbohydrates, growth factors, and cytokines. The proprietary Integrity Processing™ preserves up to 600+ signaling proteins, including growth factors and cytokines1. CYGNUS® is processed in accordance with FDA regulations and AATB standards. E-Beam sterilization provides a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6. CYGNUS can be stored at room temperature, and has a shelf-life of five years.

CYGNUS® is available in 5 configurations:

SOLO
A traditional single-layer amniotic membrane graft
DUAL
A dual-layered amniotic graft
MATRIX
A flexible, multi-layer allograft comprised of the amnion layer, its intermediate/spongy layer and the chorion layers of the amniotic sac, providing improved handling and increased workability
MAX
A more substantial natural thickness graft derived from the umbilical cord that can be sutured
MAX XL
A fenestrated version of CYGNUS Max derived from the umbilical cord and is used where larger grafts are required
